HOW MUCH WOULD YOU SELL YOUR BLOG FOR?

It’s not the first time I’ve come across that Technorati feature to check how much your blog is worth, I’ve just not checked it out because of the overpriced values you see on the widget. Today though, coming across it again, I could’ve used some sort of flattery.

I entered my URL expecting to boost my ego with the tens of thousands of bucks every goddamn widget I came across had.

I always knew the geeks were after me. They must be uniting behind my back trying to get me out of the computer world, embarrassing me in front of the millions of people that check this site. Ok, maybe just 10 ..so I set out to check the value of their blogs as well.

Chickenmafia.com – $24,275.22
FruityOaty.com – $40,082.24
Utakgago.com – $94,842.72

I was dismayed after I checked Utakgago.com because clearly the pattern was going higher, I stopped lest I became suicidal. Then I went on to the ChickenMafia tagboard and asked “how much are you gonna sell this site for?” Coz I’m gonna sell mine over my dead body even if it doesn’t have any fuckin’ value!

And to the people who invented this, it’s not funny..

  1. oh you’ve got to be kidding me.. your blog actually cost $106,698.06… but it was funny.. i checked it again then it was back to $0.00. then again to $106,698.06. weird.. hahahaha! okay.. guess you should sell! start the bidding! ROFL!

  2. I think it was just a bug. Have you tried testing it out on your site again? Refresh it like hell till it gives you a higher value haha 😛

  3. Silly funny wicked Paolo… ELEMENTARY MY DEAR WATSON… EASILY EXPLAINABLE.

You signed up with Technorati as:
http://www.paolomendoza.com which is worth $106,698.06. Cha-ching. Check it again.

To get a value of $0.00, you most likely typed in http://paolomendoza.com.

BTW, for Google PageRank purposes, http://www.paolomendoza.com and paolomendoza.com are treated as different pages (even though they go to the same home page), therefore, you are apparently splitting your PageRank. Not good, if you really care about making money online, LOL. When you do your link exchanges and leave comments on people’s sites (especially the the rare sites who give you free backlinks by disabling “nofollow” tags on comments), you should really decide which URL you want to use and stick with it. (Ugh, I’m boring myself.)

… and my Dear Paolo, you don’t need some silly (incomplete) tool to tell ya how much you’re worth. Like American Express moments, YOU are priceless. :p Dude, you totally excel at linkbaiting, LOL. Well, you got me here to comment, didn’t ya?! (And I’m on another commenting break, again, har.)

    L8tr days.

  4. @fruityoaty
aren’t you glad i’m dumb! lolz.. i checked my google pagerank too and turns out it’s also a zero. now, why am i not surprised! 😐

  5. If someone offers me $24K for chickenmafia.com, I’d sell. I don’t make any money from the site. That widget is crap.

  6. the widget is not that perfect! hehehhe… fruityoaty was right! i also got $o.oo on my second attempt! but now i have $32K++ hehhehe… and the slah really makes a difference!
