Rehabilitation is the Key

I had earlier told you the story of how I got to despise drugs even when I was a kid growing up in an upper class community rich with the youth. My family within months from when addiction became rampant started to be scared of our safety and decided to move. Intervention would’ve been a good way to act but as a young kid my parents must’ve thought more of my safety than the safety of others.

I’m not exactly the type of person who makes a sermon about why something is wrong without me knowing why. But I am not like this when it comes to drugs. Although I have not used it, I am testament to its effects through some of my friends. You see, while I was growing up the neighborhood we used to live was already filled with grown ups. The youth was a strong part of society, they were very active.

But then all things changed when drugs fell into their hands. I don’t know how it started anymore as these things do start within closed doors. Circles of friends trying out something new, and before you know it the once active, lively young crowd began to steal, kill and be part of syndicates who were able to control them through their addiction. Some of them did go to the rehabilitation centers and were cured of their need for drugs and went on to their recovery, but some of the went back their vile ways.

Within months after the incidence of houses being robbed inside the village, our family decided it was best to leave and move to another place. But with it, I bore the knowledge that drugs isn’t something I would ever wanna get into.

Today, some of my past neighbors are already in jail several of them as parts of gangs – practically the crowd they got to do drugs with. But there were a couple who came into rehabilitation and got well though there was another who went back to his ways.

And as I saw the things unfold before my eyes I am now convinced that rehabilitation is the only way to get a person cured of addiction. I mean, if one would constantly be exposed to a crowd he is so used to, it would be very hard for one to stop. But if he is exposed to a new crowd, one that is progressive and is able to him and lead him to the right path, I believe that can do alot. Even now, in a new society I find it very easy to notice the people and the groups that are into these kinds of things.

If you are ever in need of services necessary to cure you or your loved ones of addiction, I suggest you drop because it is a free site that is able to point you to rehabilitation centers as a service, and they do not charge you a fee. It’s a good thing to bookmark.
